KUALA LUMPUR (April 14, 2017) – One the biggest challenges in healthcare sector around the world is to reduce the costs of healthcare without impacting the quality of health of the people. Both I and Dr. Gopi made a courtesy visit to GetDoc‘s office to meet a group of young people that uses technology in enhancing healthcare system in Malaysia.

GetDoc had a vision: “To add value and enrich lives through mobility solutions and deliver better healthcare experience.” They do this by designing innovative, people-friendly, cutting edge, internet-enabled personal healthcare devices and mobile applications that connect to the cloud – so that these products can help more people to monitor their own state of health independently and conscientiously.

We had a chance to see their Smart Health demo using IOT devices called Hippo Swing, Hippo Jazz, Hippo Tap and Hippo Jive. These are devices that track your steps, calories, sleeping patterns, blood pressure, weight, body fat and others. All the measurements are captured through the owner’s smartphone and stored in the cloud. We are quite impressed with the demo.

We also took the opportunity to demo the strengths of FAVORIOT platform in managing an IoT project and handling multiple streams of data from various sensors. Thus, assisting IoT developers to reduce their development time and go-to-market.

KUALA LUMPUR (April 13, 2017) – The Deputy of Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UniSZA)from Terengganu visited Dr. Mazlan Abbas, CEO of FAVORIOT at Puchong today.

Both organizations have the vision to see more Malaysian-made products to be commercialized. To reach out to the industry, UnisZA sees the potential of FAVORIOT’s platform to support their initiatives in encouraging industry-based research.
