The world needs more builders.
That’s the belief behind the Favoriot Builder Grant, a sponsored platform access programme open to universities, TVET centres, student teams, startups, incubated ventures, living-lab teams, government agencies and statutory bodies anywhere in the world who want to build a real IoT project using the Favoriot platform.
We’ve spent years connecting devices, building dashboards, and turning raw sensor data into decisions that operations teams can actually act on. What we’ve learned along the way is simple: the best IoT solutions rarely come out of a slide deck. They come from teams who are given the tools, the guidance, and the room to build something real. The Builder Grant exists to give more of those teams that chance.
Let’s be upfront about what this is and isn’t. The Favoriot Builder Grant is not a cash grant. We don’t transfer money to recipients. Instead, selected teams receive Platform Credits, which unlock sponsored access to the Favoriot platform, along with project guidance and templates to help move a real idea forward.
The goal is straightforward: help builders move from idea to working prototype, from prototype to live dashboard, and from dashboard to a pilot-ready solution.
This is also a scoped programme. It supports specific, named IoT projects, not general teaching budgets, lab operations, or training funds. If your team has a real problem to solve and a clear owner to drive it, this is built for you.
The Builder Grant is designed for:
A quick but important note: student teams, final-year project groups, and research assistants may only apply through their faculty or university. We don’t process applications submitted directly by individual students. Every student project needs a named academic supervisor, faculty coordinator, or innovation office behind it, so the work has institutional backing and a path forward even after the student team moves on.
There’s only one public grant name, the Favoriot Builder Grant, and applicants are placed into whichever track fits their project best.
Selected teams may receive sponsored Platform Credits for a fixed period, Favoriot Accounts for their team members, guides, templates, sample code, and starter dashboards, plus technical guidance on device connection, data flow, dashboard setup, and alerts. We also support strong teams in preparing a demo, case study, or public showcase, and the strongest projects may be introduced to system integrators, customers, agencies, or the Favoriot Partner Network.
If your project solves the issue of Operational Blindness by connecting a device, sends real data, and helps someone see and act on what’s happening in the real world, it belongs in this list.
We’re keeping the first step simple. Register your interest, and our team will follow up with the full application, track options, and everything you need to apply.

Once we hear from you, we’ll share the complete application details, so you can put together a proposal that gives your project the best shot at approval.
The Favoriot Builder Grant is for teams who want to connect devices, build dashboards, monitor real operations, and turn data into decisions. If you’re serious about turning a real-world problem into a working IoT solution, we want to hear from you.
If you’re a System Integrator, solution provider, or service company looking to sell and deploy IoT solutions commercially instead, keep an eye out for details on the Favoriot Partner Network.
Let’s build.
